The transaction described by the source
A press release dated Singapore, 3 October 2007 reports that ReEx Capital Asia raised USD 25 million for PowerSource Energy Services Inc. The source describes PowerSource as a Philippine-based US corporation and connects its activity with distributed generation for commercial real estate.
The release states that PowerSource had contracts to supply combined heat and power to hotel and shopping complexes in Asia-Pacific. It describes the financing as supporting existing commitments and further expansion. This is the original transaction date; it is not a financing announced in 2026.

What ReEx contributed
| Investor identification | The release attributes support in identifying potential investors to ReEx. |
| Due diligence | It describes ReEx assisting the review process. |
| Final negotiations | It describes ReEx mediating in the final negotiations. |
| Project-to-capital connection | The transaction illustrates matching a commercial energy-service business with an investor rather than marketing technology in isolation. |
Why the commercial use case matters
Hotel and shopping-complex energy supply links generation to an operating customer. A financing review therefore needs the energy-service arrangement as well as the generation equipment: the customer’s payment obligations, delivery interface, operating costs and responsibility for outages.
Those review questions are a new explanatory reading of the release. The two-page document does not disclose detailed contractual clauses, cash-flow forecasts or the lender’s diligence conclusions. We do not reconstruct terms that are absent from the source.
The wider PowerSource description
The release distinguishes commercial energy management from rural electrification and community development. Its background section describes hybrid distributed-generation approaches combining different technologies according to the application. That description belongs to the 2007 document and does not establish a current technology portfolio or operating footprint.
What the release does not establish
The recovered release does not name the financier or specify the debt/equity split, pricing, tenor, security package or subsequent operating results. A USD 25 million announcement must not be converted into a present asset valuation, a return claim or evidence of an open investment opportunity.
